Dripstone Caves are one of the new Underground Biomes introduced in Minecraft 1.18: Caves & Cliffs Part 2. Dripstone Caves feature large Dripstone clusters with Pointed Dripstone stalactites rising and hanging as stalagmites.

But where do you find them in Minecraft 1.18 Caves & Cliffs Part 2. Dripstone Caves can be found all over the world. They are most prolific in small clusters below Y-Level 0

They also frequently connect to Aquifers—Underground stretches of water. This means you’re likely to encounter Drowned in these underground caves.

Dripstone can be a valuable commodity. It’s essential in creating things like Lava farms, and is generally just a very cool looking block for all your building aspirations. Pointed Dripstone Stalactites grow in size when a water source block is one block above them. If the space is clear, the water will drip from the Pointed Dripstone. A Dripstone Stalagmite can grow beneath it.

You can also tell if there’s Lava above Pointed Dripstone Stalactites, as Lava will slowly drip from them as well. Copper spawns in larger clusters and blobs in these Dripstone biomes.

Dripstone Caves also house the Glow Squid’s home biome, where they spawn in small groups of 4-6 individuals. This means if you’re trying to farm Glow Ink Sacs, a Dripstone Cave is the best location to start. Keep an eye out for Dripstone Caves.
