Minecraft is getting the full PS VR treatment in free update

The long-awaited feature of PlayStation VR support in Minecraft is finally available. It has been in the plans since Sony allowed Mojang Cross Platform Play to the Bedrock Minecraft Version.

Every user will receive a free update, but only after the final polish is applied. You also need a PSVR setup to use the update. You can still play the original version, but the VR feature is always available.

If you’re wondering what has changed, the truth is that virtually nothing has. It’s still Minecraft as you know it, but in VR first-person. You will find new features, including new settings to adjust the setup to achieve the experience you desire.

These are the two main ways that you can play the title in VR: Immersive, Living Room. But not much is known about them.

Don’t worry! The PlayStation 4 Dualshock Controller is used exactly as in the main game. However, you are immersed fully into the Minecraft world. It’s certain that you will be woken up by a creeper or spider at some point.
