How to turn on Visual Sound Effects on Fortnite

Fortnite players have their own preferences when it comes to how they want to play. Visual Sound Effects allow you to correctly interpret each sound. This also gives players with low-quality headphones an advantage, since it is difficult to determine where a sound originated if you are using a screen.

To turn on Visualize Sound Effects, you need to go to your Menu and navigate Settings. Select the Audio tab and scroll down to Sound. In Sound, there is an option called Visualize Sound Effects. Turn Visualize Sound Effects on.

This option will reveal exactly where footsteps and gunshots, vehicles, or heals are coming. You can even hear the direction of sounds that might have been missed otherwise. It will not reveal if an enemy player is crouching or other sound effects that are supposed to be silent.

This setting will negate the 3D Audio settings. This setting will not affect you if headphones aren’t used, but it would be a problem if they were. It would be much easier to have both these options.
