The Windows 10 Minecraft version has been available in beta for a while. This allows players to experience the magic of Minecraft using ray-tracing graphics. Everyone can now enjoy the power of Ray Tracing as of the 8th month if they have the Windows 10 Minecraft version and a raytracing capable GPU. It can be confusing to activate ray tracing in Minecraft. But we’ll show you how to do it step by step. 

How to enable ray tracing in Windows 10 Minecraft 

In short, to turn on ray tracing in Minecraft, all you need to do is download the latest version of Windows 10 Minecraft from the windows store page and then download an RTX showcase world from the Minecraft marketplace.

Simply head over to the Minecraft Marketplace in-game and click the search button at top right. Type RTX. The raytracing worlds will appear in a list. All are free to download.

After a world has been downloaded, you just need to load it up and then you can enjoy the power and fun of ray-tracing in Minecraft with your friends or by yourself. 

You should also make sure that your computer is capable of handling raytracing before you attempt to use it. Below are the system requirements Nvidia recommends to use Minecraft with Ray-tracing. 

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForceRTX 2060 or higher
  • CPU: Intel Core i5, AMD equivalent or higher
  • RAM: 8GB and more
  • Storage: At least 2GB
  • Operating System: Windows 10 x64
