How to open a Vault as a solo player in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 currently features seven vaults. All of them can be found at Seven Outposts. Vaults are usually opened when more than one player is on a team, but vaults can be unlocked in solo mode.

We will show you all the possible ways to accomplish this solo. It is possible to hire an NPC to take your character to the vaults and unlock them instantly.

The Launchpad landmark is east of Sanctuary POI. This is the first way to land. For 95 gold bars, find the Visitor and rent him. Swim to the island south-east of the Launchpad where you will find the vault. Follow your NPC ally down to the vaults. The vault will automatically open after scanning two bodies.

The second method involves players trapping NPCs, but not shooting them. You would need to take the vaults above and make your own buildings. Edit the box to allow the NPC to enter, then drop them into the vault. Close any gaps with the remaining builds. The vault will detect the presence of two bodies and automatically open itself.

The final method is to knock down a Seven Member NPC that can be found in these vaults throughout the map. The knocked NPC can be taken to the basement to unlock your vault. This method has one major flaw: once you have shot down a Seven Member, all NPCs will begin shooting at you.
