How To Make A Raid Farm In Minecraft

How To Make A Raid Farm In Minecraft

The best way to obtain valuable loot is via Minecraft raids. Raids are traditionally held in villages around the globe. However, this can be a great way to get rid of Pillager raids. A raid farm can make them more efficient. These farms allow players the ability to complete a full Pillager raid from one area and reap all the rewards instantly.

How to Make a Raid Farm

Step 1: Position the center of your farm

To create a raid farm, you must first create a three-by-1 area on a large amount of flat land. This hole will serve to be the central point of the raid farms and eventually will be the place where Pillagers are able to fall down and collect their loot.

Step 2: Remove the farm’s edges

Important is creating the farm’s edges. The raid farm’s center is the blue wool that was created in the first step. Each player should find eight blocks and connect them diagonally. The end result should be identical to the one shown above.

Step 3: Create a hole to house a villager

Players will then need to create an area of safety for a villager. This will attract the Pillagers to the area during the raid. To avoid mobs from spawning in the holding area, the villager will need to have a place to sleep and a light source.

Step 4 – Capture and place the villager

The next step is to capture the villager and take them to their holding area. Blocking a villager in an area of the village is the easiest way to accomplish this. Then, place a boat over them. This will make the villager go into the boat, and the player can then drive the boat to their raid farm.

Step 5: Cover the villager

Next, cover the villager within the holding area. This will prevent any mobs from taking them out. The red wool, like the blue wool at the center of the picture, is not necessary and serves only as a guide for the next steps.

Step 6 – Place slabs and water source

The next step is to place various types of slabs and water supply blocks. It is crucial to place these blocks correctly. The result should be a pool with running water that leads to the three-by-1 center created in step 1. Place the slabs along the edge of the carved out area, with the water source blocks directly next to them. A water source block will be needed to be placed on top of the glowstone. The glowstone is not necessary for the raid farms to function and serves only as a landmark for extra water source block.

Step 7: Dig a pit in the middle

Now, players should dig a hole at the center of their farm. The hole should be 27 blocks in depth, since this is the maximum distance Pillagers can fall without getting hurt. This is the location where players will construct the raid farm collection area.

Step 8: Create a collection area at bottom of hole

This area will be constructed at the bottom the hole dug in the previous steps. The collection area is composed of several parts. The bottom of the 27 block hole should have slabs of some kind for Pillagers. Below the slabs should be hoppers. Those hoppers should connect to three double-wide chests. These slabs will be hit by players and pillaragers will tumble onto them. Pillagers will die quickly because their health will be reduced by the fall. After they have been killed, their items and drops will be taken into the hoppers before being transported to the chests.

Step 9: Decorate your collection area (Optional).

While decorating the collection is not required, players will spend a lot of time there during raids. It is nice to decorate it.

Step 10: Create a route in/out the collection area

The collection area must be accessible by players. This can be done by creating a hole and adding ladders. Also, a staircase can be used. Players should not dig into the raid farm’s main area or water supply when climbing up. Water flooding the collection area would result.

Step 11: Set up a trap to lure Ravagers

Ravagers will fall through the hole at the center of the raid farms, while Pillagers could easily do the same. These mobs can’t fit in the hole so players must create another device to kill them. Below are the signs that players need to place. The players will need to place eleven signs total. They should be placed above the central block of the raid farm. The signs will make this device so that Ravagers can fall through them, and Pillagers will be stuck floating in water’s current.

Step 12: Make a system to collect saddles

The lava should be placed in central of the sign contraption. Three blocks will then be placed above the lava. These three blocks can be removed from the top of the lava if players wish to collect less saddles, which is what Ravagers are most likely to drop.

Step 13: Collect the Rewards

Next, start a Pillager Raid, then travel to the collection area to collect loot. Pillagers can be seen standing in the collection area. They will then fall into the hole and enter the collection room. Players will just need to hit them a few more times to get their loot.

How to Start a Raid

Players will need to locate a Pillager wearing a flag on his back in order to initiate a raid. These are often found at Pillager outposts. The Bad Omen effect will be activated when a Pillager is killed. This means that the next village they enter will start a raid. After the villager is trapped, enter the raid farm to begin the raid. Pillagers will then start flocking towards the villager.
