Once OptiFine has been installed, you can install BSL shaders.
Step 1: Download the Shaderpack
This is the direct link for the Shaderpack download page. Click this link to go directly to the page. The download will immediately start.
It is normal for your browser to warn you against downloading files similar to this. We tested the file on our own computers, and found it safe.
Step 2: Install your Shaderpack
Shaderpacks can now be installed in Minecraft. To install the shaderpacks, instead of unzipping or manually changing files, simply place the zip folder at the correct location.
Go to your desktop’s start/search bar and type in “%appdata” and hit Enter. After you have done this, a folder should open. The.minecraft folder will be located at the top. Double-click the folder to open it.
You will find several Minecraft folders. Double-click the folder labelled shaderpacks. Once you have the folder opened, you can now open the Downloads folder (where you downloaded the shaderpack). The zipped BSL Shader file should be moved to the shaderpacks directory. That’s all there is to it!

Step Three: Select the Shader
It’s now time to open the game and select it. Open the Minecraft Launcher.
Check the bottom to ensure that the version you’re choosing to play shows OptiFine. This is a mandatory step. BSL Shaders won’t work properly if the version you are using is different. Once you have selected the version that you want, click Play.
After you have opened the main screen for Minecraft, follow these instructions to choose BSL Shaders.
Now you will be able to select from the Shaderpacks folder. Choose the BSL Shader version that you just installed. This is an example of it as shown in the image below.
Once you’ve done that, you can now install BSL Shaders. Now, you can see a huge improvement in your visual quality.
