How to Emote in Fortnite on PC, Xbox, Playstation, Switch, & Mobile

Showing off in Fornite is as old as the game itself. It’s natural to want to show off your achievements or purchase of a new emote to Fornite. You’ll also find some emotes that are only available to players who have completed specific missions. No matter where they came from, this guide will show you how to level them on every platform!

How to Emote in Fortnite on PC, Xbox, Playstation, Switch & Mobile

Every platform in the game is different. Below, we’ve shown you how to emote across each platform.

PC

This is quick and easy. While in-game, if you press the B key on your keyboard, it will open an emote wheel. Highlighting an emote at the top of your screen will allow you to select which page you want. If you just want to select an Emote to use, you simply scroll your mouse over the one you like and click! 

The tabs at its top provide multiple pages of emotes to choose from. You can switch tabs to check if an emote is on another page if you need it.

Consoles (Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Switch).

Although the console versions of all the games may differ, the process for emoting remains the same. When you’re in-game, the first thing you must do is hold down the Down Arrow on your contr0ller’s D-Pad. Once you have done that, the emote wheels will appear on your screen. From there, you can use the right analog stick to select which emote you’d like to use and press the action button (X or A) on your controller to emote!

Mobile

Emoting on the mobile version of Fortnite is easy but less intuitive. Once you confirm that your character has emotes, you can go into a game and show it off. Look at your phone’s user display while in the game. Near the top right, you will see an icon that looks like a speech bubble with a ! It has a! It will give you the option to use your emotes if you hold your finger down on that button.
