How to Craft a Mechanical Bow, Mechanical Explosive Bow, and Mechanical Shockwave Bow in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Week 2 E …

Week 2 of Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 6 brings us an Epic Quest that forces us to craft some of the new bows! This week, they’re focusing on the various Mechanical crafting paths. We will be covering all three crafting options in this guide to help you complete Epic Quest.

How to make a mechanical explosive bow, mechanical shockwave bow, or mechanical bow

We’re going to cover these in order of how they appear on the quest. In order to complete this task, you’re going to need to find the items listed below in one of your matches.

  • 2 x Makeshift Bow
  • 8 x Parts for Mechanical Equipment
  • 6 x Grenades for the Explosive Mechanical Bow
  • 2 x Shockwave Grenades for the Shockwave Mechanical Bow

Mechanical Bow

All Bows are made according to a single path. While Makeshift Bows are a rare rarity, mechanical bows are rare and uncommon, while their upgraded versions are an epic rarity. To craft one, you’ll need to start with a Makeshift Bow.

  • You’ll also need four Mechanical Parts. These are ingredients that can be used to make crafting materials. They can be taken from Vehicles, Forklifts, or Tractors. Once you have collected a Makeshift Bow and four Mechanical Parts, you’ll be ready to craft a Mechanical Bow.
  • Navigate to your ingame Inventory menu. You will need to make sure that the Makeshift Bow is selected in your inventory. In the image above, you’ll see what you can craft with the materials you’ve collected. Here, we’ve selected the Makeshift Bow, and chosen to upgrade it to a Mechanical Bow.
  • Choose Craft. This will immediately exit the Inventory menu. Your character will then take a few seconds for the action to complete.

    Mechanical Explosive Bow

    You will need a Mechanical Bow to make this bow. You’ll also need six Grenades in your inventory. These can be found in your inventory. Follow the steps below.

  • Your in-game Inventory menu will open. Make sure the Mechanical Bow is selected in your inventory. Note: You cannot currently change a Mechanical Shockwave Bow into a Mechanical Explosive Bow.
  • Choose Craft. This will immediately exit the Inventory menu. Your character will then take a few seconds for the action to complete.

    • The Mechanical Explosive Bow fires an arrow that explodes into three projectiles once it lands. If they hit their target, these projectiles explode and do additional damage of 20 each.

    Mechanical Shockwave Bow

    You will need a Mechanical Bow to make this bow. You’ll also need two Shockwave Grenades in your inventory. Once you have them, follow these steps.

  • Your in-game Inventory menu will open. Make sure the Mechanical Bow is selected in your inventory. Note: You cannot currently change a Mechanical Explosive Bow into a Mechanical Shockwave Bow.
  • Choose Craft. This will immediately exit the Inventory menu. Your character will then take a few seconds for the action to complete.

    • The Mechanical Shockwave Bow fires an arrow which emits a shockwave effect as soon as it lands. This shockwave effect can knock your opponents (or you) into different places!

    Once you’ve done all these, you’ll see the Quest marked off in your quest log and net a decent 24,000 XP!
