What is Lag Calibration, and How Does It Work?

The Lag calibration allows for you to adjust the acceptable tap delayWithin the note tap zone. Depending on how precise you click on the notes, there is a time limit where you can achieve a Perfect or Good score. It can be difficult to achieve 100 percent accuracy if you are playing on a slow device.

The lag calibration adjusts the tap delay to allow you to play more comfortably. Keep in mind, however, that Music speed is not affected by calibrating. It adjusts when you can click notes.

The Calibration Value can be adjusted by clicking on the plus or minus signs to the right of your screen, or by moving the slider around the tap zone.

  • Calibration Value: 0—you must tap notes at the Actual momentEvery beat falls.
  • Calibration value 10 and higher—you can tap notes a few seconds When the beat dropsThis depends on how high you calibrate (max400, which is about a two second delay).
  • Calibration value -10 or below—you can tap notes a few seconds The beat was not beaten earlierIt all depends on how low you calibrate (max-400 is about two seconds earlier).

Sometimes laggy devices can make it difficult to tap correctly but miss the mark. The device isn’t processing the action fast enough for the game to register. You can adjust the lag calibration to ensure your clicks register correctly regardless of device delay.
