Part 2 of Minecraft 1.18 Caves and Cliffs has completely redesigned mountains. Finally, it’ll be fun to dig down and build, as well as travel up. Mountaines are by far more interesting than their pre-1.18 counterparts due to the new ore distributions. These are the latest changes to Minecraft 1.18: Caves and Cliffs Part 2.

The world’s height has increased a lot. This was to make space for more caves and on the top to make way for more taller, more prominent mountains. The distribution of ore has been greatly modified to fit the new world’s height.

Other changes

  • Frozen Peaks or Jagged Peaks are where goats spawn. Snowy Slopes is where they spawn.
  • Other passive mobs can also spawn in other sub-biomes such as Rabbits
  • Pillager Outposts have the ability to generate in every one of the six mountain subbiomes
  • Mountain cave biomes can be created inside mountains by creating cave biomes

Please note that Goat Horns were delayed and are not available in the current game.
